International Society of Gender Medicine (IGM) is pleased to announce the theme of the annual meeting 2019:

Sex & Gender with focus on personalized
medicine and patient safety

Personalized medicine requires that all individual characteristics are considered. The theme of IGM’s annual meeting 2019 is thus the importance and how sex and gender influence diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. Patient safety is a fundamental part of medical praxis and to ensure the best care is given to each individual the patient’s sex needs to be considered. The annual meeting will also cover topics such as health politics and governmental agencies part of how to include consideration of sex and gender in research as well as daily praxis.
The program will include two key-note speakers, nine short sessions on such varied topics as health politics, diabetes and lipids, cardiovascular disease, nephrology, chronobiology, oncology and pharmacology. Also, there will be ample opportunity for free communications.
